There was plenty of activity today, especially in the tallow markets. Buyers continue to come in for September coverage and for the most part, have been willing to pay higher prices.

Four cars of packer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) traded at 69 cts/lb Chicago today, and four cars of renderer BFT traded up to 70 cts/lb Chicago. Gulf trading was done in a wide range today at 68 – 70 cts/lb delivered. Technical tallow was quiet but remains well supported by a stronger soybean oil market.
