Porcine Bloodmeal Falls More than $200 From Previous High

There was limited reported trade for Thursday, with most trying to get activity done in the first half of the week. Most trade reported was within the previously set ranges on all items with some variations on feed and poultry by-product pet grade items.

Porcine bloodmeal has been under pressure most of the week, with distressed loads reported as low as $700/st in Mo. River. The bulk of trade continues to remain above $1000/st, with the expectation of continued pressure from diminished interest and higher slaughter in the near term. Demand levels have continued to wane with the ration reformulations at several dairy farms as they look to other avenues for lysine.
