September WASDE Release Estimates Lower Production

For Tuesday, light trade broke into brisk activity with the release of the WASDE (World Agriculture Supply and Estimates). Values on poultry by-product pet grade and chicken meal were reported steady to lower on increased offerings in the market. Distressed loads at $700/st on pet grade and $900/st on chicken meal were also reported with locations in excess. The pet grade range on the Southeast was slightly lower with a $750-850/st range, while the Mid-South was down $25/st from the previous range.

Feathermeal was steady to firmer on accounts of active demand, both domestically and internationally. A high of $625/st was reported on the Mid-South, though most regions moved upwards to highs of $600/st.

Both porcine and ruminant meat and bonemeal were flat for the day as expectations on animal production dropped on the WASDE, but lower soybean meal and diminished dairy values weighed on market sentiment.
