August Biofuel Production Sees Record Tallow Consumption

EIA Biofuels Capacity and Feedstock Update

The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) August Monthly Biofuels Capacity and Feedstocks Update showed operable US Biofuel capacity at 23.503 billion gallons, 10 million gallons above July and 2.133 billion gallons above August 2022. U.S. biofuel capacity is at an all-time high. The Petroleum Supply Monthly report, also released today, disclosed refinery and blender net inputs of renewable fuel to be 31 million barrels, 1.08 million barrels above July, and 633 thousand barrels above August 2022. U.S. inputs of renewable fuel were 67 percent of capacity.
