Soybean Crush Sets New Record for September

*Please Note – Bob Lane was out of the office today.

U.S. soybean crushing volumes in September reached a record for the month at 175 million bushels, the USDA reported on November 1 in its Monthly Fats & Oils report. The crush was up 3.6 percent from 169 million bushels in August and up 4.2 percent on the year. Soybean crush volumes generally advance in September since newly harvested soybeans become available for processing. The September crush figure came in smack dab at the average market estimate of 175 million bushels.

Crude soybean oil produced in September was 2.08 billion pounds, up three percent from August and up four percent from September 2022. Refined soybean oil production totaled 1.73 billion pounds in September, increasing one percent from the month before and rising four percent from September 2022.
