Organic Corn Buyers Circumspect About 2023 Organic Wheat Crop

Organic corn prices remain stable with little activity to report. Farmers are most likely waiting on the sidelines for prices to move higher. Reports of a few transactions of organic corn trading on the lower end of the current price range.

The price that the feed mill is willing to pay has made East Coast arbitrage impractical. Prices in the Midwest are quoted in a wide range, and the logistics arbitrageur is unable to ship organic corn east and still generate a profit. Farmers are looking to realize prices above $9 per bushel and buyers on the East Coast are not willing to pay more than $10.25-$10.75.
