US UCO Imports Hit a New Record High

Three cars of renderer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) traded down to 52 cts/lb Chicago today. The Packer BFT market was quiet with no trading reported. Sources indicated offers in the market between 50 – 52 cts/lb Chicago, but neither were verified as of press time. Bids for tallow into the Gulf were indicated steady at 52 cts/lb delivered.
Used cooking oil (UCO) traded lower into the Northeast market today and was lower on the Atlantic Seaboard and Southeast markets as well. Gulf indications were flat. FOB numbers were lower out of Illinois. The lower Northeast market for UCO weighed on yellow grease prices out of New York. Gulf trading was indicated higher today for yellow at 45.75 delivered, but there were bids heard at 45.5 today as well.
