There was some movement in the market for corn gluten products today. The price range for CIF NOLA corn gluten meal had a slight uptick, while both Midwest barge and rail for corn gluten meal experienced an increase in price ranges.
Most CME grain prices had an upward trend on Tuesday. The only grain with a decrease was December wheat, which dropped by $0.07 and closed at $5.72/bu. January soybeans increased by $0.0725 and settled at $13.89/bu. Additionally, December soymeal jumped by $4.50 and closed at $473.60/st., and December corn rose by $0.01 to $4.78/bu. The grain market received support from a weakened U.S. dollar and despite a dip in wheat prices. This decline was triggered by weak export demand and an unexpected downgrade of the winter wheat crop in the latest crop progress report released by the USDA.
