Three railcars of choice white grease (CWG) traded down to 43 cts/lb Chicago today. Outside of the CWG market, trading was mostly quiet at midweek. At the Gulf, max 20% ffa tallow traded at 52 cts/lb, with bids rumored to be as low as 51 cts/lb by day’s end.

At the distiller’s corn oil (DCO) market, sources pointed to lower biofuel demand due to possible production issues with several renewable diesel plants. Trading was reported out of the Mo. River at a slightly higher level of 56 cts/lb FOB for sizeable volume. Fifteen trucks traded as low as 50 cts/lb FOB Illinois/Wisconsin today.
