Negative Pressure Persists on MBM and Poultry-By Items

Values for poultry-by-product meal (PBM) pet grade and chicken meal were reported lower on Tuesday. Distressed loads of pet grade PBM in the Southeast were indicated at $500/st with bulk of trade landing in the $525-625/st. A high of $650/st was specified in the Southeast and Mid-South, widening the range in the Southeast. Values ranging from $600-750/st were reported on chicken meal, though the low end of the range could not be confirmed as of press time. The bulk of trade landed within the $650-750/st range for the day. Feathermeal was rangebound for the day, though a high of $575/st was communicated. Several sources have reported that strong exports of feathermeal have kept the domestic values higher for the near term.
