Used Cooking Oil (UCO) delivered to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (ARA) traded at $820-850/mt CIF during the week, with some market sources reporting buying interest at $850/mt CIF ARA Thursday, while UCO buyers based in Spain showed interest at $800/mt CIF.
Category 3 tallow prices were broadly stable at €870-900/mt EXW North-Western Europe.
“Prices are stable, there is enough demand coming from animal feed compound and oleo chemical industries,” a Europe-based broker told the Jacobsen.
On the other side, tallow prices slid lower in New Zealand amid negative pressure from the global market with edible tallow 1% FFA reported at NZD1,530/mt on the FCA basis, while bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) 4% FFA was priced in a wider range of NZD1,350-1,590/mt FCA.
Stronger supply and production in the Australian market as well as less-than-anticipated demand from Singapore and North America has weighed on the Australian market.
