EPA Receives Four New SRE Petitions under RFS

During the month of December, the U.S. EPA showed that four new small refinery exemption (SRE) petitions had been filed under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). The petitions were submitted by Hunt Refining Company, Wynnewood Refining Company, Calumet Shreveport Refining and Calumet Montana Refining for several of their facilities for the 2023 compliance year. With the most recent submissions, seven SRE petitions remain pending before the agency.
