Corn and Wheat Export Inspections Climb, Soybeans Drop

Based on the latest reports, DDGs prices remain unchanged with sources noting a quiet week ahead. Market participants expect prices to ease in a few weeks as the short supply line gets filled.

CME grain prices shifted higher across the board on Tuesday. January soymeal increased by $3.60 and closed at $403.20/st. January soybeans increased by $0.1350 and settled at $13.13/bu. Furthermore, March corn rose by $0.0725, reaching $4.80/bu, and March wheat increased by $0.2 to $6.36/bu. Following geopolitical tensions in the Black Sea, wheat prices showed a notable surge after the Christmas holiday. Corn showed minor gains due to positive export inspection data from the USDA today, while soybeans soared by double-digits as worries regarding hot and dry weather conditions in Brazil continue.
