NOPA Soybean Crush Hit New Record High in December 2023

U.S. soybean crush hit a new all-time high in December 2023 at 195.328 million bushels, the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) reported on January 16. The latest figure was up three percent from the 189.038 million bushels processed in November 2023, which was the second highest monthly crush total on record.

The December 2023 monthly crush figure was well above the average market expectation of 193 million bushels. The crush was also up 10 percent on the year. NOPA members process about 95 percent of the U.S.’s soybeans.
