MBM Moves Higher to Close out Week

Trading was mostly quiet today, but prices for dry rendered tankage moved lower. MBM and blood meal prices did move higher on trading done late yesterday.

Values for the week were generally flat on animal proteins due to extreme cold and snowstorms, halting or delaying freight and production. Prices moved higher on porcine meat and bonemeal as well as bloodmeal in Indiana. Most participants conveyed an increased focus on logistics and production versus spot trade.
