Some volumes of European UCO traded at price levels of €960/mt and over €1,000/mt DDP North-Western Europe. Selling ideas for UCO delivered to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (ARA) on a CIF basis reached $940-945/mt, as freight rates continued to trend higher against no major buying interest.
“Container freight rates doubled in price lately, with some routes seeing a three-to-four times increase,” a source said.
Rapeseed oil (RSO) indications for nearby loading in February-March reached €855-860/mt FOB Dutch Mill on the selling side, while bids were heard at €835-840/mt. Ideas for April-May were seen a touch higher at €863-867/mt versus €838-846/mt FOB.
Prices for animal fats also saw a minor uptrend change, with 5% free fatty acids (FFA) category 3 tallow priced at €945-950/mt EXW North-Western Europe, while 15% FFA tallow indications remained untouched at €770-810/mt EXW.
