Broiler Slaughter Forecast to Trend Lower through February

Trading was very quiet to close out the month with no changes reported. 

For the week ending Feb 2nd, 2024, broiler slaughter is forecast at 165.197 million head, 0.4 percent above the same week in 2023 and up 0.6 percent from the previous week. Over the next six weeks, broiler slaughter is projected to average 163.667 million head per week, down 2.0 percent from the same six-week period in 2023 but up 5.1 percent from the prior six-week average.
