EIA Biofuels Capacity and Feedstock Update

The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Monthly Biofuels Capacity and Feedstocks Update showed operable U.S. biofuel capacity reached a new high of 23.765 billion gallons during November. Total capacity was 108 million gallons more than October and eight percent above November 2022 capacity of 21.94 billion gallons. The Petroleum Supply Monthly report disclosed refinery and blender net inputs of renewable fuel to be 28.7 million barrels, 1.49 million barrels below October input, but 105 thousand barrels above November 2022. U.S. inputs of renewable fuel were 64 percent of capacity.
