A quiet trading day was reported in the fats and oils market, keeping values flat for the start of the week.

For the week ending February 10, 2024, cattle slaughter is forecasted at 625,000 head, 0.5 percent down from 2023 and 1.9 percent lower than last week. Over the next six weeks, cattle slaughter is expected to average 619,170 head per week, 1.9 percent lower than 2023 for the respective time.
