Poultry By-Product Pet Grade Supported Week-on-Week

Limited trade was indicated at the tail end of the week. Values were flat for Friday.

Trading in the US market this week was highly unsettled for most items and communicated as sloppy in the meat and bonemeal market. Ruminant and porcine meat and bonemeal were generally flat with softer undertones. Increased offerings were communicated from several locations in the interior, though there have been some that are tighter due to lower slaughter levels.

Bloodmeal was mixed to lower on accounts of buyer pushback from feed reformulations, excluding bloodmeal for the month of February. However, there was a small number of contacts who have conveyed strong demand for bloodmeal for the near term. Week-on-week, porcine bloodmeal, Mo. River, was lower by 3.4 percent, or $52.50/st, while ruminant bloodmeal dropped $10.00/st for the same period and region.
