International Animal Fats and Oils 29.02.24

Price levels for imported used cooking oil (UCO) were relatively flat this week, with selling ideas indicated in the range of $900-950/mt CIF Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Ghent (ARAG). The price within the range was dependent on volumes and quality. 

Some slightly firmer bids were heard in the European UCO market, up from €990-1,000/mt DDP ARAG indicated earlier this week, while no confirmed trade was reported at the time of publication.

In the vegetable oils sector, crude palm oil (CPO)
was reported traded Wednesday at $957.50/mt CIF Rotterdam for March shipment, with
further offers heard at $965/mt versus bids at $960/mt and slightly lower for April
– $960/mt against $950/mt CIF.

Rapeseed oil (RSO) offers firmed to €890/mt FOB Dutch Mill for March
dates, amid lower availability and some demand from the biofuels sector, while buyers were targeting €855/mt. April dates were priced lower at €875/mt
