Most values in the global protein market were steady to lower for this week. Bloodmeal in the Australian market was reported as softer for this week, AU$1450-1500/mt. Sources indicated that increased slaughter is weighing on offer levels for bloodmeal.
Meat and bonemeal (MBM) prices in Australia were softer due a combination of lower soybean meal prices, diminished interest from the local market, and continued headwinds into some export markets, including Vietnam. The Australia domestic market was at AU$700-730/mt.
MBM into China and Indonesia were both lower with most still quiet following the holiday period. China was pushed lower to a new range of US$520-535/mt. Indonesia was in a range of US$525-535/mt.
