Prices for used cooking oil (UCO) were reported in a wide range this week, depending on the origin, volumes and quality, with CIF Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Ghent (ARAG) levels heard at $900-955 per tonne for delivery in flexi and ISO tanks. High trading activity was seen for European UCO, with some volumes traded in a range of €950-1,020 per tonne DDP ARAG, depending on quality, for March-April deliveries.
FOB China values were broadly stable for flexi-tanks shipments at $860-870 per tonne, while the spread between the offer and the bid for bulk was indicated as wide as $70 per tonne, with sellers quoting $870 per tonne and buyers aiming for as low as $800 per tonne FOB.
“Used cooking oil prices in China are a bit all over the place,” a Europe-based trader told Fastmarkets.
