Ruminant meat and bonemeal largest increase week on week

With several participants attending the AFIA (American Feed Industry Association) Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference this week, trade volume was light.

The price average for ruminant meat and bonemeal, Mo. River, increased 10.32% week-on-week to $262.00 per short ton (st). Market sources said active demand, along with near-term cattle slaughter remaining below 2023 levels, has tightened availability.

Porcine meat and bonemeal, Mo. River, increased to 8.49% on the week to an average of $396.00/st, from $365.00/st. Porcine bloodmeal was higher as well, moving up to $1,242.50/st, increasing 8.04% from last week on active demand and short availability.
