Ancillary Certifications Grow in Popularity

Regenerative agriculture has become an increasingly attractive market for consumers. Fastmarkets has previously discussed the impacts of stale regulations on organic markets, such as a lack of livestock and poultry rules assuaging consumers fears over animal welfare.  Organic regulations need to be dynamic and respond to consumer trends. 

Recent policymaking by the USDA has helped to close the gap with evolving markets, but parallel markets still exist and are growing.  Regenerative agriculture, and the accounting for carbon output in production, has garnered support from consumers.
