Animal fats prices were flat on Tuesday May 14, with limited trade volume reported. Several participants indicated doing trade ahead of the current week due to the Fastmarket’s Biofuels & Feedstocks Event in Chicago.

Fastmarkets price assessment for technical tallow, fob Chicago was 48.50 cents per lb on one car, up from Monday’s range of 47 cents per lb.

Distiller’s corn oil (DCO), fob Missouri River for the week to Friday May 10 was at 39.53 cents per lb, down by 29.98%, or 16.85 cents per lb, from 2023 for the respective week. This is 36.89%, or 23 cents per lb, lower than the three year average for the same weeks.
