Market sources also reported that UCO traded at €1,065 per tonne on a DDP France basis, while deals for imported UCO were heard at $975 per tonne CIF Rotterdam, for delivery in ISO tanks.
Prices for Asia-origin UCO were stable in the range of $850-865 per tonne FOB China. High freight rates around $150-170 per tonne for container shipment deliveries from Asia to Europe were urging European importers to turn to alternative origins, including Middle Eastern and North African UCO.
In the vegetable oils market, prices for rapeseed oil (RSO) moved upward during the week then settled slightly below last week’s indications, with August-October offers heard at €952 per tonne FOB Dutch mill. This was down by €8 per tonne week on week, against buying interest at €949 per tonne, which was €6 per tonne below the previous week’s level.
