US soymeal export sales rise 83% to 265,500 tonnes; exports climb

Chicago Mercantile Exchange grain prices mostly fell on Friday May 31. The July CME soymeal futures contract showed the only increase, rising by $1.10 per short ton to $364.70 per short ton.

The July soybean futures contract decreased by 4.75 cents per bushel, settling at $12.05 per bu, and July wheat dropped by 2.50 cents per bu to close at $6.78 per bu.

Meanwhile, July corn fell by 2.50 cents per bu to $4.46 per bu.

Weekly export sales, released May 31

Soybean
Soybean export sales reached 329,400 tonnes in the week to May 23, up by 18% week on week but 5% below the four-week average. Export sales for the 2024/25 crop season were 6,900 tonnes, resulting in total sales of 336,300 tonnes.
