Organic feed markets are largely steady, with no major price movements in recent weeks. Organic wheat prices (Jacobsen-Fastmarkets Wheat – Organic – Midwest) have moved downwards on plentiful supply. As noted in previous commentary, the need to free up bin space for 2024 wheat has some organic operators marketing aggressively.

Several market participants have said that they intend to market organic wheat through conventional markets if offers are not forthcoming as June progresses. This is a viable contingency for organic operators with acceptable crop quality.
