April animal by-product production, stocks
In April, production of meat and bonemeal and dry rendered tankage (MBM/DRT), feathermeal (FM) and poultry by-product meal (PBPM) fell, according to the USDA’s Fats and Oils: Oilseed Crushing, Production, Consumption and Stocks report released on Monday.

Production of meat and bonemeal and dry rendered tankage totaled 423.02 million lb in April, down by 16.10% month on month and by 0.85% year on year.

US domestic usage of MBM/DRT in April increased by 23.01%, or 68.50 million lb, from March due to the decline in production and a significant climb in the percentage of export production in April — up to 45.82% from 40.96% in March.
