US animal fat and oils trading was quiet to end the week on Friday June 14.

Animal fat prices increased throughout the week due to a combination of tight supplies and robust demand, particularly from the feed and oleochemical sectors.

On average, packer bleachable fancy tallow increased by 2.71% week on week. Choice white grease prices rose by 2.42%, with trading reported as high as 43.50 cents per lb later in the week.

The price for Missouri River distiller’s corn oil also rose over the period, by close to 1%.
