US DCO production falls; CWG prices supported ahead of holiday break

Animal fats and oils trading in the US was mostly quiet on Wednesday June 26 despite a rebound in soybean oil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Choice white grease did trade higher on an FOB basis out of the Missouri River and Indiana markets.

Sources reported bids into the Gulf market at prices steady with trading done on Tuesday June 25, adding that “the current margin structure is limiting what anyone in the renewable fuel sector is willing to pay.”

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimated ethanol production for the week ended June 21 at 1.043 million barrels per day in the Weekly Petroleum Status Report released on Wednesday.
