Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, porcine, fob Iowa/Missouri/Nebraska, at $900-1,050 per short ton on Thursday June 27, widening downward from $950-1,050 per short ton on Tuesday June 25.
Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, ruminant, fob Texas Panhandle was $900-1,025 per short ton on Thursday, narrowing upward from $925-1,025 per short ton on Tuesday.
USDA’s US Hogs and Pigs report within analyst expected ranges
The USDA”s Hogs and Pigs Quarterly for June 2024 reported total US hog inventory at 74.486 million head as of June 1, higher by 1.27% from 2023 for the corresponding period and up by 0.22% from the prior report in March 2024, at 74.321 million head.
