US wheat export sales exceed projections; soybean sales slump

Chicago Mercantile Exchange grain prices were mixed on Thursday June 27, with the July CME soybean futures contract dropping by 10.50 cents per bushel to settle at $11.52 per bu.

The July soymeal futures contract increased by 20 cents per short ton to $361.10 per ton, while July corn decreased by 6.25 cents per bu to $4.13 per bu.

Meanwhile, July wheat rose by 18.50 cents per bu to close at $5.59 per bu.

Weekly export sales, released June 27

Soybean
US soybean export sales for 2023/24 reached 282,900 tonnes in the week to June 20, down by 49% week on week and by 19% from the four-week average. Export sales for the 2024/25 crop season were 101,800 tonnes, resulting in total sales of 384,700 tonnes.
