Mid-South, Delmarva feathermeal lower; June monthly averages mixed to softer

Most sources called the market on Friday June 28 flat ahead of the weekend, with most sold up for the end of the month.

Pressure on feathermeal was reported for the end of the week to June 28, due to buyer pushback and increased offering levels. Market sources were mixed on inventory levels and demand, with some short with active demand and others unable to move products within the previously set ranges.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Delmarva Peninsula at $410-480 per short ton on Friday, lower from Thursday June 27’s values of $460-480 per ton.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Mid-South at $430-500 per ton on June 28, lower from Thursday’s values of $460-500 per ton.
