Tallow and used cooking oil (UCO) were traded at prices steady with Tuesday’s report into the US Gulf market on Wednesday July 17. Yellow grease traded higher in a range of 47.0-47.5 cents per lb delivered.

Distiller’s corn oil (DCO) traded lower out of the Mo. River and IL/WI markets on Wednesday, pressured by lower soybean oil futures prices.

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimated ethanol production for the week ended July 12 at 1.106 million barrels per day in the Weekly Petroleum Status Report released on Wednesday.

The estimate is up 52,000 bpd from the previous week’s estimate, and it is the highest weekly ethanol production estimate for 2024.
