EU imposes provisional anti-dumping duties on Chinese biodiesel

The European Biodiesel Board (EBB) announced on Friday July 19 that the EU has decided to impose “provisional anti-dumping duties in its trade case against Chinese biodiesel entering the EU market.”

The EBB is representing the European producers of biodiesel (HVO and FAME).

“In a pre-disclosure document published [on Friday], the European Commission announced that it will impose provisional anti-dumping duties on Chinese HVO and FAME imports in four weeks’ time, [at rates] between 12.8% and 36.4%,” EBB said.

The investigation was in its provisional stage and was expected to set definitive measures by February 14, 2025.
