Fundamentals suggest CWG rally nearing an end

The US bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) markets were steady from Monday July 22. A bid was heard for packer tallow at 52 cents per lb delivered Chicago, but could not be confirmed as of press time.

The European market reported more trading for used cooking oil (UCO) on Tuesday July 23, recovering from the latest anti-dumping measures that the European Commission announced against China, which could lead to a spike in feedstock demand in Europe in order to cover production needs, sources said.

Trading for UCO was heard in the range of €1,030-1,055 ($1,121-1,149) per tonne in Northwestern Europe, while FOB China levels were reported at $875-890 per tonne FOB for renewable identification number (RIN)-eligible material for shipments to the US and $890-900 per tonne for UCO destined for Europe.
