International animal fats and oils, July 25, 2024

Prices for European animal fats were mostly flat in the week to Thursday July 25, with trading slower than usual due to the holiday season.

Some trading of Category 3 animal fats max 15% free fatty acids (FFA) was reported at €850-860 ($923-934) per tonne in North-West Europe (NWE), while 5% FFA fats traded in the range of €920-960 per tonne DDP NWE.

Prices for Category 1 and 2 fats were broadly stable, with market sources reporting prices at €710-720 per tonne DDP NWE.

Prices for poultry fats were reported around €1,000 per tonne DDP NWE for 2% FFA and at €940 per tonne DDP for 5-7% FFA.
