Eastern US feathermeal under price pressure; July monthly averages mixed to lower

Feathermeal products were under price pressure in the Eastern US and Mid-South regions on Wednesday July 31, sources told Fastmarkets. A low of $400 per short ton was traded in several regions, though the bulk of trade was not this low, with one market source saying there are increased offerings in the Eastern regions.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Carolinas at $420-455 per short ton on Wednesday, down from $445-465 per ton on Tuesday July 30.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Alabama/Georgia at $420-450 per short ton on Wednesday, down from $450-475 per ton on Tuesday.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Delmarva Peninsula at $420-440 per short ton on Wednesday, down from $425-455 per ton on Tuesday.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Mid-South at $430-470 per short ton on Wednesday, down from $440-475 per ton on Tuesday.
