Renewable diesel, biodiesel imports sharply lower in May: EIA

Renewable diesel imports fell sharply in May to the lowest reported level since October 2023, according to US Energy Information Administration (EIA) data released on Wednesday July 31.

The US imported 26 million gallons of renewable diesel in May, down nearly 40% from the 43 million barrels reported in April.

All of the imported renewable diesel in May originated from Singapore, for the second month in a row.

Biodiesel imports also fell sharply in May, reported at 36.9 million gallons, down 65% from the 61 million gallons reported in April.
