Chicago Mercantile Exchange grain prices fell on Thursday August 8, with the November CME soybean futures contract decreasing by 10.50 cents per bushel to settle at $10.08 per bu and September soymeal dropping by $4.10 per short ton to $319.50 per short ton.

Meanwhile, the September CME corn futures contract declined by 4 cents per bu to $3.79 per bu, and September wheat futures fell by 0.75 cents per bu to $5.37 per bu.

US soybean export sales for 2023/24 reached 325,400 tonnes in the week to August 1, up by 2% from the previous week and up by 66% from the prior four-week average, landing above the USDA’s expected range of 100,000-300,000 tonnes.
