Corn, soybean futures continue to fall, marking 4-day losing streak

Most grain prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell on Friday August 9. The November soybean futures contract decreased by 5.75 cents per bushel to settle at $10.02 per bu, while September wheat increased by 5 cents per bu to close at $5.42 per bu.

Meanwhile, September soybean meal fell by $7.80 per short ton to $311.70 per ton, and September corn dropped by 2.50 cents per bu to $3.76 per bu.

Distillers’ dried grain (DDG) prices were stable throughout the week. Market participants said DDG prices might face some downward pressure in the coming week due to increased plant production and severe heat affecting some parts of the US.
