Generation of 2024 renewable identification numbers (RINs) under the US Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) totaled 14.42 billion in July, up from 12.18 billion in June. The overall RIN mandate calls for 21.54 billion RINs to be generated. The program is now 67% complete, with five months to go in 2024. July RIN production was 2.24 billion, 4.8% above June and 13% over July 2023.
