International animal proteins prices were steady to lower in the week to Thursday August 15. Market sources attributed overall market pressure to continued drops on soybean meal prices.
Prices in New Zealand were reported to be steady to softer for the week to Thursday, though supply out of New Zealand remains very low, limiting price drops in the region.
Fastmarkets assessed the price of bloodmeal, 85 Pro, delivered New Zealand at NZ$1,390-1,410 ($862-874) per tonne on Thursday, down from NZ$1,420-1,440 per tonne on August 8.
Prices were flat to lower week on week in the Australian export and domestic markets.
Fastmarkets assessed the price of meat and bonemeal, bovine, 45 Pro, export fca New Zealand at NZ$610-620 per tonne on Thursday, down from NZ$620-630 per tonne on August 8.
