International animal proteins, August 29, 2024

Prices in the international animal proteins market were mostly flat in the week to Thursday August 29. The only significant price change was on feathermeal, Southeast Asia, which was under pressure during the week.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, 80 Pro, US export cfr Southeast Asia at $600-640 per tonne on Thursday, down from $640-660 per tonne on August 22.

Meat and Livestock Australia reported cattle slaughter at 141,110 head in the week to Sunday August 23, up by 7,087 head week on week and by 18,100 head year on year.
