Sluggish trade volume keeps weekly animal protein prices flat

US animal protein prices were steady on Friday September 6, with market participants indicating light traded volumes for products.

Weekly wrap-up
Prices for US animal proteins were little changed in the week to Friday. Several market participants indicated that animal proteins had limited trade for the week due to logistical and production catch-ups from the Labor Day weekend.

Among animal proteins, the largest price change during the week was feathermeal, Mid-South; it averaged $387.50 per short ton on September 6, down by 1.27% from the previous week’s average of $392.50 per ton.
