US weekly corn conditions decline; soybeans unchanged

US crop conditions for corn declined in the week to Sunday September 29, while soybean conditions were unchanged, according to the USDA’s weekly crop progress report released on Monday September 30.

Corn dented was reported at 96%, up by 4 percentage points from the previous week’s total but down by 1 percentage point year on year.

Corn maturity was reported at 75%, up by 14 percentage points from the previous week but down by 4 percentage points from last year’s figures.

Corn harvest is under way in 18 states, standing at 21% completed, up by 7 percentage points from last week and in line with last year’s value.
