Tidewater opens expanded full-service biofuel, renewable diesel distribution facility

The USDA awarded Tidewater Terminal Company $3.1million from the its Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP) to expand the availability of biodiesel throughout portions of Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Tidewater hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday October 11, celebrating its Snake River Terminal (SRT) expansion in Pasco, Washington. SRT’s expanded capacity will allow it to blend more than 2 million gallons of biodiesel per month.

Betsy Dirksen Londrigan, the USDA’s Rural Business-Cooperative Service administrator, spoke about how HBIIP provides proven support for renewable fuels.

“Through clean energy programs like the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program, USDA is continuing to deliver on this commitment…across the nation, which will bring more economic opportunities for farmers and producers in the surrounding communities.”
