The US animal fats and oils markets were quiet on Thursday October 17, with the majority of participants attending the American Fats and Oils Association (AFOA) event in Nashville.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimated ethanol production for the week ended October 11 at 1.042 million barrels per day in its Weekly Petroleum Status Report released on Thursday.
The estimate was up by 4,000 bpd from the previous week’s figure and 7,000 bpd above estimated levels this time last year.
Fastmarkets estimates distillers’ corn oil (DCO) production at just under 9.89 million lb per day for the week ended October 11.
